who is Rana Jewell?

Rana Jewell – accountant, lifestyle consultant, author, scuba diving instructor, belly dancer . . .

Rana Jewell has unbridled enthusiasm, an inquisitive nature and a passion for life. A friendly, caring professional with strong ethics and determination to match, she can hardly be described as a ‘traditional’ accountant. With more than 25 years experience in small business, Rana has successfully balanced her clients and business with the eclectic and varied leisure pursuits she enjoys—giving her a lifestyle that is balanced, rich and rewarding. As a qualified scuba diving instructor and a professional bellydancer on her days off—Rana is living proof that not all accountants lack personality and count beans! But don’t think Rana is not as technically skilled as a ‘traditional’ accountant. She is just as passionate about ongoing professional development and growth as she is with balancing her life, and is a thorough, up-to-date and dedicated individual who specialises in accounting and taxation for professional service businesses and investors. She practices what she preaches about cash flow (ie creating reserves for investments, lifestyle choices and of course tax and GST).

A genuine interest in her clients, good listening skills and an earnest desire for accurate and up-to-date information regarding taxation and accountancy legislation are essential elements of Rana’s service. Her competency in legislative matters gives clients the satisfaction of knowing that Rana’s thoroughness and attention to detail maximises their legitimate claims.

Rana has recently completed a Masters of Counselling at the Queensland University of Technology. The result of this study—a thesis entitled “Couples with Financial Difference: can a Saver and a Spender live in Harmony?” has been edited to remove the academic stuffing to create a book for couples who are experiencing some difficulties from their different financial styles.
